Adventures in Baking

It's been a busy week getting ready for Jacob & Kadie's birthday party tomorrow. I've been shopping for cake stuff and goody bag stuff and I think FINALLY I am ready for tomorrow's party. It's very likely I'm forgetting something important but Ill remember that tomorrow like 11 minutes into the party LoL

I've always wanted to make my kids' cakes but I'm not that talented so I would have my mother in law make them. She is awesome when it comes to decorating. My hand just isn't that steady and my frosting is always melty (could have something to do with this Georgia weather, who knows).

I had the bright idea of making a cake centered around our party's theme. Well, not really a theme exactly, but the place we are having it. It's a place called The Little Jumping Bean. They have all kinds of inflatables and the kids just love it there. So I googled "bounce house cake" and low and behold I came across one with a recipe and one just a picture. I followed the recipe to an extent but made it more like the picture I found. It didn't turn out too shabby.
