Thinking Christmas

Yes, you read that right. I am already thinking about Christmas. Much to my husband's dismay, I might add. Just a mere 22 days into the new year and I have already started my Christmas shopping list. In fact, I started that yesterday. And if I am being honest, I have been thinking about Christmas since, well, since we came back from Ohio. I see something in a store and I think, "Ooh, that would be a good Christmas gift." Or I see am idea on a blog and go, "That is what I am doing for Christmas this year."

Lots of ideas are running through my head. I know for a fact I will be doing photo calendars again from VistaPrint. Those were a huge hit and I am not leaving anyone out this year. Everyone can always use a calendar and who doesn't want pictures of my adorable babies. I have also thought about doing a cookbook. Compiling some of the best tried and true recipes from my internet friends. Some of my favorite meals (like peking porkchops) have come from online friends sharing their favorite recipes. I am also thinking that the kids' gifts to their godparents will be a framed piece of art... something they make themselves. Sara and Adam won't be able to really create much of anything but I am sure their godmothers would appreciate an adorable finger painting.

I don't want to spend a ton of money on stuff that no one really wants anyways. I also don't know what kind of room I will have for storing stuff and if we are too far away to drive home for Christmas, everything will need to be mailed. It is a real possibility we won't be able to make it home for the first time since, well, forever... at least as a family. So things can't be breakable or liquids and preferable light so I am not spending as much on shipping as I did the gifts.

Anyone else already thinking about Christmas? Or am I the only lunatic out there...

Nope your not crazy - well maybe a little but thats why we love you right? I shop throughout the year every year. In fact the photo frame ornaments that we gave my aunts and uncles this past Christmas were bought on the 75% off Christmas 07' sale from target. We have WAY to many people to buy for to be spending lots of money on each one. I reseve the "real money" for the kids.

After seeing your calenders this past year I'm thinking that may be the way we go this coming year - I just need to remember to get some good shots and then give them to YOU to put together for me LMAO!!

Just make sure if you buy things to keep them in one spot and write down what it is, how much you spent and who it's for so that you won't over buy! Good luck and let me in on any deals you find sista!!
